Wantster
After a long hiatus...
Here is an image, my first image, created on the iPad. Taking a stab at the nouveau media. The image itself depicts an authority figure proliferating some pompous or skewed point of view that astounds all but one... begging the question, "Who are the sheep and who is the shepherd?"

el oscuridad viene lentamente- 2011
oil on canvas, November 2011
72 in x 43.5 in
Yes. It does say OIL... Man. Never thought this day would come. The title translates: The darkness comes slowly. Gives you an idea of my mood at the time. But hey. Never claimed to be butterflies and buttercups... okay, maybe one or two butterflies after an oil painting is finally completed ;)
mi vida cambia- 2011
mi vida cambia- November 2011
acrylic on canvas, 32 in x 72 in
Translated: My Life Changes. This piece was a pleasure to construct with the layering of colours one after the other. I felt the title appropriate as a means of allowing a glimpse of whatever it is that goes on in my noggin. Growing older and increasingly more reflective, I realize that I am not who I once was nor am I who I think I am. I am only what others see, feel or think. If they see nothing, think nothing, feel nothing... than I am nothing. If others feel, see, or think joy, than I am joy.. And so it goes... As my company changes, so do I. Always in flux. Always changing.

mi corazón arde - 2011
acrylic on canvas- June 2011
24in x 36in
After watching an incredible (and I mean incredible) victory by Cheick Kongo tonight, I finally once again have returned with another piece to post. Titled "my heart burns" en español, this painting follows the theme and style of my previous works. Despite the delay, I actually have been working all this time. I was able to start and finish this painting while I wait for another painting (oil) that I started last November to dry. Oil is not easy. My respect goes out to those who have this medium mastered.
