to exist without strings

Is it possible to exist without strings? (or for that matter, why would you want to) In order to relate to and engage with other people, isn’t necessary to form “attachments”?

The strongest bond is held with an open hand.

I was thinking about attachment as it relates to feelings such as affection and devotion - however, I think what you are saying is - "if you love someone, set them free"

if I know this Full Meal Deal, you are talking about knowing who you are and loving yourself, loving where you are in life, however- you are a father, doesn't that mean you exist with strings?

I agree with missy, that not all strings are bad. . . and in some cases they are necessary (for example with those who need us like our children). They are the ties that bind us on an emotional and spiritual level to the people we love.

ATTACHMENT: a : the state of being personally attached : FIDELITY (attachment to a cause) b : affectionate regard (a deep attachment to nature)
FREEDOM: the quality or state of being free: as a : the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action b : liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another. FREEDOM has a broad range of application from total absence of restraint to merely a sense of not being unduly hampered or frustrated .
CHOICE: suggests the opportunity or privilege of choosing freely (freedom of choice).

I made a choice.

I get it (I think)

LOVE: A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

Do you think it's possible that we can feel as though we don't have stings but really they just fade or feel like they've dissappeared because of a choice we made---to look at life in a positive way, so that we can attract more (+)things
